Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been purchasing a few items that will allow me to take some cool and high quality images from the home. The idea was to use high quality lighting and be realistic about what can be produced in short spaces, so generally I’d only been looking to shoot portraits or top half images.
On this test I was the only person available to test on, so came across all the usual issues when trying to take a self portrait. However, the combination of the remote camera app and the FujiFilm X-T1 made this very simple, allowing me to view the composition and make changes to camera settings from in front of the camera was invaluable.
I will share my favourite images from my testing.
The lighting used was a Lencarta ElitePro 300 with a Bessel 60×60 Softbox camera left and on camera right was a YN560III with a Rouge Flash-bender to supply some rim lighting:
